About Application

An application for a Development Consent Order (DCO) is being prepared. Once ready, it will be submitted to the Planning Inspectorate. This page will contain all the relevant documents, and will be kept up to date as new documents are produced.

The Planning Inspectorate will examine the application before making a recommendation to the Secretary of State for Transport who will make the final decision. More details about the process are available via The Planning Inspectorate will examine the application before making a recommendation to the Secretary of State for Transport who will make the final decision. More details about the process are available via the Planning Inspectorate’s website.

A wide range of technical and other information is being prepared and will be submitted as part of the application for a DCO. The proposal requires an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) so an Environmental Statement (ES) is being prepared as part of the submission.

Stage 2 of the public consultation process was held in October and November 2017. Roxhill is currently undertaking a further, focused consultation, the detail of which is explained on the Consultation Page.

The consultation process, the ongoing dialogue with a range of consultees, as well as the final ES chapters, will help to inform the final application.
