An application for a Development Consent Order (DCO) was submitted to the Planning Inspectorate in May.
The Planning Inspectorate (PINS) formally accepted the application on 15th June 2018. PINS will examine the application before making a recommendation to the Secretary of State for Transport who will make the final decision. More details about the process are available via the Planning Inspectorate’s website. The examination process is expected to begin later this summer, with dates to be confirmed with PINS.
The application consists of a comprehensive range of final plans and documents, including a final Environmental Statement (EIA), a consultation report, and numerous supporting reports and evidence.
The process is now to be led by PINS. The final application documents will be posted on this website in advance of a further period during which representations can be made to PINS (not to Roxhill) – details will be provided on this website, as well as on the PINS website which will also contain all of the application documents.
A decision on the proposals won’t be taken until 2019 after PINS has examined the application, and once their recommendation has been considered by the Secretary of State.
